Helping the Hurting, Inc.
In 1989 we incorporated into a 501(c)3 IRS recognized not-for-profit organization doing work with those who are hurting. We opened our doors first to those who had chronically ill, terminally ill, or a disabled family member. In 1996, we threw our doors wide open to include counseling single moms, abused women and children, and others who cannot afford traditional counseling fees. We also started a food pantry and clothing bank.
To bring men and women into better mental health and a right relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are primarily a counseling service. We also conduct seminars and retreats. We have many services that will be highlighted on the following pages. Please check back often as we will be adding information.
We support and abide by the ethics statement of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
The ministry is overseen by a board of directors composed of members of the community.
